About us
We're not a software house that decided to build yet another football app. We're the ones who, down the pub, always know how it's going to end — without ever having read an official team sheet in our lives.
Where we come from
It all starts with two memories. The first: the Totocalcio slip, filled in by hand on a Sunday morning, with an X marked on 1, X or 2 and the match turning into a wait shared with half the town. The second: the bar downstairs, where there's always the one who "knew it" — not because they'd studied tactics, but because they'd understood something the football books don't teach. That's how SpriteBet was born in 2012 (fantasy football meets predictions, except we swapped Fanta for Sprite because our founder really doesn't like orangeade 😅). Predictions, odds, a table among friends — but run by hand, matchweek after matchweek, on Facebook: fixtures, results and standings posted one by one by people (us) who had badly underestimated the work involved. After a couple of seasons the load became unsustainable and the project stopped. But the idea underneath — the Sunday-morning Totocalcio slip, the X drawn in pen, the wait shared with friends — never really left us. In 2026 it's back, this time as a proper platform: automatic, always up to date, with nobody up at night doing the maths by hand. It's back, and it's BETTER. It wasn't born yesterday. It came back today. Fanta Best, since 2012. And yes, the name Fanta is back too — the founder still doesn't like orangeade, but this time the choice wasn't his alone.
What we want
We want to give people who love football but don't have the time (or the inclination) to study it tactically a place where they can still win, take on their friends, and feel part of a real season — without having to become a fantasy manager and without risking a penny.
How we want to come across
Direct, never preachy. Tongue-in-cheek, never forced. We talk the way you talk in a group chat with mates, not like a press release. If a prediction goes wrong, we laugh about it. If it comes off, we'll be reminding everyone for weeks — just like down the pub.
